A: We serve Norman, Moore, Blanchard, Oklahoma City, The Village, Nichols Hills, Newcastle, Tuttle, and surrounding communities in central Oklahoma.
Q: How long has Sheppard Concrete been in business?
A: Since 1952 — that’s over 70 years of concrete experience in the Oklahoma City and Moore area.
Q: Do you offer free estimates / quotes?
A: Yes — we provide a free estimate on all concrete projects. No obligation, just transparent numbers upfront.
Q: Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
A: Absolutely. We maintain all required licensing, bonding, and insurance to protect you and your property.
Q: What kind of warranty or guarantee do you offer on your work?
A: We stand by the quality of our workmanship. If issues arise that result from our work (not misuse or damage), we’ll address them promptly.
Concrete Driveways
Q: How thick should a concrete driveway be in Moore / Norman, OK?
A: Most residential driveways in our area are poured at
4 to 6 inches thick, with reinforcement (rebar or wire mesh) where needed. For heavier loads (RVs, fire trucks), we often go thicker.
Q: Can you replace an old, cracked driveway?
A: Yes. We can tear out and remove the existing slab, prep the base, and pour a new driveway. We also offer repair options if only part of the driveway is damaged.
Q: How long will it take before I can drive on it?
A: Typically 7 days for light traffic (cars), and about 28 days for full strength for heavy loads.

Patios & Sidewalks
Q: What types of patios do you do — flat, stamped, etc.?
A: We build standard flat concrete patios, broom-finish patios, and decorative or stamped finishes depending on what you want. We also can do curbs, borders, or patterns.
Q: Can you tie my new sidewalk or patio into existing structures (house, pool, etc.)?
A: Yes — our team is experienced in matching elevations, transitions, and drainage so your new concrete integrates well with surrounding elements.
Q: What width do you recommend for sidewalks / walkways?
A: For a typical sidewalk in your yard or front walk, 3’–4’ wide is common. For high-traffic or ADA-compliant walks, we go 5’ or wider where allowed.

Concrete Slabs
Q: Do you pour slab foundations for houses / buildings?
A: Yes — we pour thick, reinforced concrete slabs for homes, garages, shop buildings, sheds, and more.
Q: What do you do to prevent slab cracking or settling?
A: We compact and prep the soil base, use control joints, proper reinforcement, and adequate curing methods to minimize cracking.
Q: Can you pour slabs in extreme weather (hot summers, or when it’s cold)?
A: Yes — we adjust our mix designs, curing methods, and pour times to account for Oklahoma’s weather extremes so your slab cures properly.

A: Yes — we do full concrete paving services for commercial lots, drive lanes, etc., including proper base work, drainage, expansion joints, and finishing.
Q: How does concrete paving compare to asphalt in the OKC area?
A: Concrete is more durable, resists rutting, lasts longer, and requires less maintenance over time—even though the upfront cost is higher.
Q: What kind of joint spacing or expansion joints do you use for paved areas?
A: We design joint spacing based on slab size, expected loads, and layout, plus control joints and expansion joints at edges or around structures.
